The principle of the fourth generation moulding methods is utilisation of biology in the mould and core production, when the biological substance used as a binder rapidly multiplies and bonds all the grains of the aggregate. After solidification of the casting, the microorganisms are killed. The methods are not used in the industrial practice so far.
